What is B100? What is Oleo100?

What is B100?

The generic name “B100” refers to a 100% plant-based fuel. B stands for “biodiesel” and 100 refers to the proportion of plant components. In the same way, there exists B7, B20, B30, and so forth.

What is Oleo100?

Oleo100 stands for B100 biodiesel manufactured and marketed by Saipol, a business unit of Avril. Produced in France from 100% French rapeseed, Oleo100 biodiesel is compatible with diesel engines, offering a 60% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions and an up to 80% lower level of fine particles. It is therefore an immediately available, sustainable alternative to fossil fuels. Consequently, since April 2022, vehicles running exclusively on B100 are eligible for the Crit’Air 1 sticker, enabling them to drive in low emission zones (ZFE).
