What is Avril’s legal form? Is it an agricultural cooperative?

In 2015, Avril became a partnership limited by shares (SCA). By separating the authority of shareholders from that of company management, this legal form enables the founding farmers to remain guarantors of the Group’s vision and to contribute to its growth strategy. Avril’s Board of Directors consists of nine members, including four farmers from the French Federation of Oilseed and Protein Producers (FOP). Avril is actually not a “cooperative”. However, its legal status as an SCA enables it to operate collectively while working hand in hand with the agricultural sector throughout the entire supply chain.
